10 common eye diseases commonly encountered

In modern life, people are increasingly exposed to electronic technology devices and face much more serious environmental pollution that makes eyes more susceptible to disease.

Eyes are the most sensitive part of human, so without proper care, eyes will easily get some diseases. The following are the 10 most common eye diseases according to the statistics of Saigon Eye Hospital.

  • Eye allergy

When allergic, the eyes will become red, itchy and uncomfortable. This is one of the most common diseases in all ages, from children to adults.

  • Refractive error

Refractive error occurs due to the length of the eyeball, changes in the shape of the cornea, or natural aging of the eye. Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism are symptoms of refractive errors.

  • Swollen eyes
